Bulls To Release Luol Deng To Play Internationally
Basketball 24/7 is reporting that the Chicago Bulls will release Luol Deng to play in international play. They are reporting that Luol Deng left on a airplane today on a flight to Europe.
Great Britain officials were able to come up with the additional $500,000 or so that was needed to get supplemental insurance to cover his back. Luol Deng’s back was one of the MetLife’s 14 body part exclusions that they are allowed to make.
With Luol Deng back on board, Great Britain’ schances for qualifying for the 2009 European Championships look very bright. They will begin play in the qualifying tournament next Wednesday against Israel.
