Bulls to Sign Lindsey Hunter
November 13th, 2008 by Andrew WamboldtAccording to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, the Bulls are set to sign Lindsey Hunter today. Here is what Johnson wrote:
Moving to address their shortage of point guards with Kirk Hinrich sidelined for three months, the Bulls will sign veteran Lindsey Hunter on Thursday.
Hunter, 37, has 15 years of pro experience with career averages of 8.8 points and 2.7 assists. He’s also known as a capable defender. Last season Hunter played 24 games with the Pistons, who originally drafted him 10th overall in 1993.
Derrick Rose has played more than 40 minutes in each game since Hinrich tore a ligament in his right thumb that required surgery.
Hunter averaged 9 minutes per game last season, which could ease the burden on Rose.
