Brad Miller appeared on Sports 1140 for an interview moments after being traded to the Chicago Bulls. Here is a recap of what was said in the interview.

• Brad Miller is leaving Thursday morning.  Is going to pack a lot of warm clothes for the cold weather.
• Already has about 12 Cubs hats packed.  Is going to be around Wrigley this summer.
• Pretty happy about the trade.  The Bulls are right on the borderline of the playoffs.  Sees it as being similar to the situation Mike Bibby was in last year.
• Loves the city of Chicago.  That’s another bonus about the trade.
• John Paxson told him that this was a good move to get a few older guys.
• Asked Paxson whether the Bulls were going to trade Kirk Hinrich.  Kirk is one of his buddies.  Will have to wait and see if the Bulls make another move.
• John Salmons is a really quiet guy.
• This trade is a little harder for him.  The trade from Chicago to Indiana was a bit of a joke, as he only had to go 2 1/2 hours or so to a new city.  Things are different now as he has a family.  He has been in Sacramento for six years, the longest he’s been anywhere during his career.
• Thinks his first game will be against the Pacers on Saturday.
• His agent is out of Chicago, which will make the transition easier.  He will try to rent a place and then get back to Sacramento to take care of things after the season.
• Is going to reflect back on his first game in Sacramento.  That was his favorite year there of playing basketball in his life, with the great fan support.
• Miller began choking up.  He said that it’s going to be tough.  His daughter was born in Sacramento and that there are a lot of people that he’s going to miss.
• Has a lot of good memories.  Wishes he could have left the team in a better situation than it currently is in.  He tried to teach Spencer Hawes a few things and thinks Jason Thompson will have a good career.  Hopes the young guys will now have an opportunity.
• In Chicago, right now, the wins are about the same as his previous trip there, but the situation is completely different.  Back then, they had just gotten rid of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, and in his third year, was already one of the oldest guys on the team.
• The impact Chris Webber and Vlade Divac’s had on his career was priceless.  He thought those two guys were so much fun on the court and that there was never a shortage of fun on or off the court.  The relationships that they build that one year with those two was incredible basketball wise and learning to deal with situations.  He thought it was really neat to be at Chris Webber’s ceremony.  He used to go to Vlade Divac’s place after the games and they would have the whole team there.  He’s been around a lot of teams, and it’s not like that.  He wishes that one year with Divac and Webber.
• Has already talked to the strength guy, Erik Helland, who has a sausage ready for him.  Miller gives the trainer, Fred Tedeschi, a titty twister everytime he sees him.
• On New Years day his first year there, he left a cardboard box outside the practice facility.  One of the radio guys opened the box, and thought it might be a coat in the box.  Miller had left a Boar’s head in the box.
• Miller thinks that when you’re winning, you have the confidence to make crazier plays in basketball.
