Bulls Clinch Playoff Berth
April 10th, 2009 by Andrew WamboldtThe Chicago Bulls are back in the playoffs after missing out last season. The Bobcats fell to the Thabo “the fro” Sefolosha and the Oklahoma City Thunder 84-81 in Oklahoma City. With the Bobcats loss, the Bulls clinched a playoff berth for the 2009 NBA Playoffs.
The Bobcats didn’t go down easily, coming back from from a double digit deficit. The Bobcats were able to get one last posession with a little more than 1 second left to try to tie the game and bring it into overtime. They had trouble getting the ball in and had to resort to passing it to Radmanovic, who had to take a fall away three, which bricked off the front of the rim.
The Bulls are still in a battle with the Detroit Pistons for the seventh spot in the East. The Pistons posess the same record as the Bulls. The Bulls trail Philadelphia by a single game, and can even nab the fifth spot if the Bulls win out and Miami wins out, which has a 1.5625% chance of happening.
