Bulls Could Move Up To 11th Pick
June 18th, 2009 by Andrew WamboldtNJ.com is reporting, that the Nets have held discussions with teams posessing multiple picks, about possibly trading the 11th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.
And yes, they’re still mulling whether they can get as good a player at 18 to 25 (such as Williams) as they could at 11, which would create some trade opportunities.
Toward that end, they’re talking to teams with multiples — Minnesota and Chicago — more than anyone else, with the occasional call to Portland, which wants to move its (24th) pick.
The Bulls would likely make the trade to jump ahead of the pack to better their chances of getting the player they want. They could potentially just be moving up to draft Tyler Hansborough, B.J. Mullens, or Dejuan Blair. There is also the potential that Jordan Hill falls to eleven, or the Bulls select a guard. It’s really too early to tell how the draft will shape up.
As with most rumors around the draft, the likelihood of this becoming true are very low.
