Bulls Waive Derrick Byars
October 28th, 2009 by Andrew WamboldtAccording to Bulls.com, the Bulls have waived Derrick Byars.
October 28, 2009 — The Chicago Bulls announced today that the team has waived guard Derrick Byars.
Byars (6-7, 220), appeared in eight games during the preseason with Chicago and averaged 5.8 ppg and 3.0 rpg in 16.5 mpg.
Chicago’s roster now stands at 13.
This isn’t all too shocking, given the Bulls cost cutting approach to running a team. Byars seemed like a solid fit.
The Bulls may have depth issues at the guard spots if someone goes down with an injury, but the Bulls will probably be able to pick up Byars if they want during the season if it comes to that.
