Tyrus Thomas Out 4-6 Weeks With A Broken Arm
November 6th, 2009 by Andrew WamboldtAccording to Bulls.com, Tyrus Thomas will miss 4-6 weeks after breaking his arm while weightlifting.
Chicago Bulls forward Tyrus Thomas suffered a fractured radius of his left forearm during a weight training session this morning at practice. X-rays confirmed the injury and he will undergo surgery tomorrow. The surgery will be performed at Rush, by team physicians Dr. Brian Cole and Dr. John Fernandez, and assisted by Dr. Mark Cohen.
Hopefully injuries don’t become a problem this year, as the Bulls season could easily be derailed by a few injuries here and there.
It’s a shame to see this happen to Tyrus Thomas in his contract year. Thomas seems like a good person overall, and while he is unlikely to remain a Bull next year, it’s a shame to see a freak injury like this happen in a year that will largely affect his future.
Hopefully Tyrus has a good and fast recovery.
